RECRUITMENT INFORMATION
Phi Sigma recruits every semester. Membership is open to all undergraduates of the University of Pennsylvania who possess a strong desire to promote biological knowledge. All applicants from all backgrounds and majors are encouraged to apply as biology is a multi-disciplinary field. Applicants must demonstrate academic achievement, honorable personal characteristics, and motivation. Potential members are expected to serve as mentors to the community and be willing to help others whenever needed. We aim to outreach to younger students to encourage them to pursue careers in biology-related fields.
The UPenn Phi Sigma Gamma Phi Chapter aims to:
1. Unite Penn undergraduates interested in biologically related research;
2. Form a passionate community that is committed to changing the future;
3. Build a network of resources with other Phi Sigma chapters;
4. Stimulate younger generations' interest in biological research; and
5. Create life-long relationships between members.
To be eligible, applicants must have a GPA above 3.5 and turn in an application. Applicants can also expect a 15-minute interview with board members.
